Alright guys i have a 04 1000rr with around 18000 miles on her. I am the only owner and have never had any issues. But now it won't come out of neutral. It worked fine one day then the next when i started it up only neutral...Anybody have any ideas? I don't want to break out the vaseline and take it to the honda dealership

 

There is no way to know for sure until you open her up. The good news is that the '04 1kRR has a cartridge tranny and is relatively simple to get into.

If I had to hazard a guess I'd say shift fork bit it. How does the shifter lever feel? Springy like usual but just won't click into gear?

 

+1 sounds like a bent shifter fork unless the clutch is worn out or there is a lot of air in the lines may need to be bled, good luck
