if i'm not mistaken there was one guy a few months ago that did it but he made his own from scratch...cut off the f3 subframe and attached his bolt on handmade rr subframe...was a little high when mounted but the craftsmanship was good

I know it's been done, but I think the more popular way is to just cut, bend, and add brackets to the stock f3 subframe.

I had all the parts for a while to do this on my F3 and was thinking it's what I'd do before I decided I wouldn't have the bike long enough to do all that work.

If I were to do it, I'd be working on brackets just like you're talking about so that it's basically bolting up everything from the RR tail. Then it's just a matter of finding places for the battery, RR, shock canister, etc.

This is the main problem with the mod. The tail ends up way too high and looks weird.

I sat and screwed around with bracket high for 2 hours before i finally decided on a height so that the tail wouldn't look stupid high...came out pretty good i think..of course i adapted instead of making a whole new subframe..of course it's still not an rr but it'll do for now till the warden gives me enough freedom over my money to buy a new one

i second that 100%... i just fiddled around with mine till it fit halfway decent and looked cool. mocked it up and make up some brackets. definatly looks better, im really glad i did it. between the tail and gauge swap im kinda over the "i got an old bike blues"

I got over my blues by doing an F3 -> 600RR Full Bike Swap. It looks totally stock, and I didn't have to put an ounce of labor into it. LOL
