I wouldn't paint CF -- the stuff looks to nice to cover with paint. With the orange scheme it might look good to have the CF offset it a bit. If you gotta have an orange hugger then you'll need to:

wash the stocker thoroughly
degrease it with a prep
sand it smooth with 400 grit
prime it
sand smooth and reprime
sand smooth and paint

Seriously, why would you want to paint over CF, that's such a waste. You're better off painting your stock if you really want. CF looks awesome just the way it is.

BTW lild14, that hood looks sick!

i know it's be waste if i was to over it, but there isnt anybody who makes one unpainted... so tats the only choice i had, either make color matching or C.F.? so i dunno what to do, however i did look into 1tail.com and they've got one that is just black looks the same as the C.F. one but its over $200.00 plus shipping to HI wont be cheap, then have to paint it? lot of money over one mod, so thats why i was debating over matching it or C.F. i just think color matched would look a lot better than C.F. at least on my bike i've look in the gallery and didnt see anybody with one on thier bike so like i said im just trying to gather my ideas to have them ready once i get my bike back thanks peeps

Make sure you add in the value of the CF one when looking at painted or plain ones. You can sell it toward the others.
