Default 08 1000rr Annoying Low RPM ticking?? Any Ideas?

Im looking for some input on whats goin on with my bike. At Low Rpms 2000-5000 I hear a distinct ticking that "sounds" like its coming from the engine. Its most noticeable under easy acceleration. The ticking gets faster with the more throttle I give the bike, Until i hit 6000rpms and she purs like a kitten....
Ive only got 700 miles on my bike. Just looking for some opinions before I take it to the stealership and they tell me " Yeah They just do that" or "Yep Sound right too Me, Have a safe ride home" LoL

Another weird maybe insignificant point is I just had the oil changed+The Clutch Recall Done...and to be honest I didnt notice it before, or it wasnt nearly as loud. I appreciate any Help I can get

Does anyone else hear faint but very distinct, ticking or clicking while accelerating easy or cruising at low RPMs on their 08-09?

I love to ride, this is My First brand new CBR, and everytime i go to the dealer with a problem I feel like Im getting hussled,(Calling Honda corporate 4 anything is a HUGE waste of time too!) I dont have a lot of money. So thats why im so obsessed with taking care of what ive got!

could be something, could be nothing. take it back and tell them exactly what you posted here. let them ride it/listen for themselves. its under warranty and if there is anything wrong they will be happy to fix it as they will get paid for that work.

You're most likely right, they'll say that they all do that. I thought my '05 was noisy when I got it and that's what I was told. My buddy who used to have a GSX-R750 said that it was more noisy than the CBR that he ended up getting.

I've got a 954 and it ticks a bit, had a Suzuki TL1000 and the joke on the TL zone was that TL stands for ticks loudly, had an SV 650 that ticked really loud, and had a 75 KZ900 Kaw that ticked like crazy. Now all that being said I would still take it bake to the dealer and let them check it out while it is still under warranty.

Not to be a weasel or anything but how in the world can you hear a ticking at 5000rpm assuming you have a helmet on and with all the noise the wind is making? If you really can here a tick at that rpm I think you might have a problem. Mine has a slight tick at idle and after I did my first oil change it quieted down alot. I wouldn't worry about to much until the tick becomes a knock

p.s. I like the guy above that talks about the ticking on his TL and SV. Those are Vtwins bud they are gonna sound WAY different then an I4. My RC51 has a tick and knock and bang and whine and you know what??? That means she's running like a top.

Any shim under bucket is gonna tick. More noticeable at low rpms because the exhaust hasn't become deafening. If it is of concern to you then by all means take it to the dealer to check out. Even if it's normal at least you will get peace of mind.

The noises that you should be more worried about would be a grinding noise ... thuds (ticks that you can feel) are also a concern.
