Helpful Info for new riders.
#42
Hi, I am back to riding a bike after a number of years without one. There are a couple of questions I have that hopefully more experienced riders can help me with. Does anyone recommend roughing up their tyres on the outer edge? I can tell where the tyre has not been in contact with the road, the rubber is much less grippy. Also, when riding on the motorway, I have had a couple of hairy moments with understeer. What's the best remedy for that? More or less throttle?
Im riding a 1999 CBR600FX.

Training, training, training!!! And go easy, just because it will do 150mph does NOT mean you should do that speed everywhere! People are idiots and do the most unlikely things in cars... when it happens... and it will... you better be controlled and able to avoid/stop!
Have fun, lots of it... and be safe! :-)
