Is this an issue with the older f4i-s??? I am just under 6000 miles on my 2005 and I don't have this issue (well at least not yet, knock on wood)..

This has been debated in the past, if his motor suffered this type of a failure due to the CCTL making noise then he is the very very rare exception to the rule.....

The CCT and CCTL are not the same thing and it sounds like you had more issues than a rattling CCTL. This is the F4i forum and you are talking about an F2. Your messages are very difficult to understand.

i dont have to to argue but with past engine problem i would have to agree everyone that has had major problems have had stretched timing chains, therefore the cctl is only extended enough for stock chain length. or possibly the cct is worn down causing slack in the chain. the cctl does rattle but the damage would be caused by improper chain tension. which with the ****ty design of the tool used to re-install the cctl could have something to do with it also
