more trouble after carb clean... fuel leak
recently cleaned my carbs, fried the o-rings in carb cleaner now it leaks fuel pretty bad. I must admit that the gasket(s) that seal the float bowls were in pretty bad condition but still there. I decided to just rip the carbs apart again and replace all of the o-rings and gaskets... i ordered a gasket set A from bikebandit.com under the impression they would ship all the gaskets shown in the pic (silly me), well they did but only for 1 carb.
So my question is, would it be safe/smart to seal the float bowl section with some sort of sealant like silicone or something like that? or do i HAVE to spend like $100 more on gaskets and o-rings?
Another thing, I am having a hard time finding the right size o-rings that go on the drain screw on the bottom of the carbs. Lowes doesnt have the right size, autozone or anywhere else i looked. Specialty shop maybe?
