While waiting on other parts to come in i have started the Strip/Paint/Polish process on the rims i only have the rear wheel stripped at the moment but i did take some pics of it, ill move onto the front torm. i hope, i also got the new adjustable T6 levers in. i cant install the clutch lever because the perch is un-usable i already ordered one just waiting for it to come in now.

This is after all of the stripping is done, i will paint the satin sections(Center line and spokes) when i get my fairing in and i can match the paint color.

and does anyone have a set of stock front rotors they want to part with?? because looking at mine i thinnk mine has the F3 rotors on it, all the pics i see of the 900RR rotors are like this, i would like to get the original rotors back on the bike.

Im kinda puzzled at this did honda put 2 different sized rotors on the blades? will these stock bigger ones even fit on my bike consider i have no way to relocate the brake caliper higher. any ideas??

I'm just learning about these bikes as well so someone might have better info but here is what I found. My front rotors are stock and measure about 11.75 in across. Measured on the bike and looks the same as your earlier posted pictures. Also that style (holes in the rotor where the pads are applied from the caliper) are shown for the 96-97 year models (and above) in my digital and online schematics. The style pictured above looks to be for year models 93-95 by those same schematic drawings.

after some research it does appear that honda did use 2 different braking systems on the blades some with the 296mm rotors like mine which is the exact same rotor as the cbr600f3 and some with the 310mm rotors which is the bigger ones in the picture and they do not interchange due to the brackets on the forks were the caliper mounts are different. I guess to change over to the bigger rotors you would have to change forks, calipers and all so ill stick with what i have

id still keep your options open, allot guys do go for the fork upgrade and mostly so they can go to the larger rotors but also its the front rim too, which is sixteen inches.. oh and pretty gold inverted forks.. i have to say ive thought about it..
i've seen every different front end setup on our blades and unless your gp racing im not sure its that critical to keep it absolutely the way the designers built it..
on my 97 street fighter i have a zx12 setup and honestly it just drives different than my 95 and so i just drive it different, i think you get what i mean..
especially now, you can look on ebay and sometimes luck out with a fork package deal, clamps, rims, calipers all in one shot at a bargain
