Hello im halfway done my naked bike build. The most difficulties i've had with wirings and so do now. Im trying to swap my 97cbr speedo with 04/05 zx10r speedo. I've got the parts and now skimming forums and manuals to find information about my speedo wires, which connects to which part of my bike.

Im wondering if any1 have already made thrue this phase and how any information about the gauge wirings. (the gauge we are talking about is 97cbrf3 honda)

www.stephygee.com has the shop manual which includes the Point to Point wiring diagam. That should have all the information you're lookng for, at least as far as what wires go to the speedo.

 

google F3 to f4i guage swap (think its cbrworld)

there's a few wiring diagrams on there that help a bit for the f3,
and converting it to the f4i.

here's the f4i.
it's quite similar to the f3.

Thanks for f4i wiring diagram, it was sososo helpful. For now i've set up the speedo, everything works expect speedometer, it gives me 200km/h while im doing first gear all i need is a speedohealer. But i wanted to ask if i need to grab 1 wire from the speedo to my +side battery, as the f3 and f4i gauge swappers do? And why its needful?
