future cbr1000f
Good evening guys!
I am just comming back from the moto show this week-end, we are getting the cbr650f, this side of the borrder, witht the competion of the ninja 1100sx, do you thnk hnda will revive the cbr1000f hurricane, considering that cbf1000 is not really competion to the ninja?
If yes i wll be the first at the dealership.
What do you think?

Like Sprock said, the new 650's may put out more HP than the old dated 1000F engine.
It will also be lighter but unfortunately may be to small for a taller rider as myself.
Did you actually get to see it?
How does it look for 2-up?
Is it to small to bag up for the long hauls?
Will Shadow be able to lift it if he drops it.lol

looks ok for a small sp touring bike, good first 4 cylinder, but heard more apparently Yamaha is rumored to prepare a fj-09, well honda will haveto jump in the fray.. vfr1200-mystery bike wish-wish- vf800 and idon't belive they will use a V. The cbf1000 is a good bike but not up to the job betweenthe ninja, possible Triump and the new yamaha?
Yhere is only a windy bike that can tackle a Ninja!
And yes Shadow is able to lift it.!!!!!

Just looked up the hp specs on the cbr650f only 100 hp!!! My 94 CBR 1000F will eat that for breakfast. My buddy has a 2008 Honda hornet 600cc. Some know the bike as the 599. He swore that his bike( 100 lbs lighter) would take my big old cbr 1000f. Well we found out after he geared the bike and tuned it. It was dead even till about 85 -90 mph. After that is was all CBR with authority. This was with stock gearing on my 1000f. if I would have geared it, it would have been real ugly for him. I beleive the hp on the 599/ hornet is 109 hp. The closest race I have had was with a R6 with some mods, very close race the cane starts pulling it around 120 mph. Might add the R6 was 130 hp bike and lighter than mine. No problem with the honda 600rr either.
Like someone said on the board it takes alot to **** on a cane.
Trying to find the specs on the new CBR1000f ... now it may give the ole cane a run for her money. LOL

Hurricanne Matt it is not out yet, but i beleive something like it will come along, a cbr650f, the closest is the vfr1200r but too expensive to compete against the nimhja 100sx and ht new Fj-09, so what choice does hnda have ...
BTW i read in a magazine that the cane in the right hands can still surprises riders on newer bikes...

Honda doesn't listen to anyone or anything that doesn't win races - the VFR1200 isn't a bike I'd buy - too many issues locally. The new F series is a dog. The only bikes I would consider as a replacement aren't Hondas - BMW1300S shafty and the Hayabusa.
Sad when Honda doesn't recognise what a great bike they built.
