I know what you mean, I was going to get rid of mine but after speaking to m wife she told me to get it sorted out and back on the road.
I spent about 4 months stripping it down and fitting new parts, brake discs, pads, chain etc. to it and even did the stick coil upgrade to mine.
It walked it's MOT but now the back brake doesn't work, see my post Frustrated beyond belief.
I will PM you when I'm coming up to York next (I was stationed there for my last years in the army) and maybe we can go for a blast somewhere.

No probs Chippy, that would be cool, regular destination is Squires Café at sherburn in elment, have you been? and that is the only reason I'm in York, Strensall was my dads last posting, 41 years ago, god is it really that long!!

I wasn't in Strensall that long ago, only about 12 years since I left.
I'll let you know when I'm coming up and we can get out on the bikes if you're available.
