Thx for the reply John. More specifically, these insurance coverages are more like temporary insurance policies. Ie., they are purchased for a specific date range (1 day, 3 day, etc) by travelers coming to Mexico from outside the country.

"If you plan on crossing the US border and driving your vehicle into Mexico, you must have Mexican domiciled Car Insurance. Without it, you have no coverage to reimburse you in the event of damage to or theft of your vehicle. Additionally, you and your vehicle can be detained in the event of an accident."
Mexbound, drivemex, & mexadventrue (all are dotcoms), are other options as well. Was just wondering if you knew who the most reputable of these types in Mexico & who you'd recommend.
