Default My new baby 89 600f

Just got my first, 89 cbr 600f, paid 300 bux for it ,has a small dent in the gas tank, but all I had to do was change out the battery and shes been purrinn.

The only questions I have;

Can I get an aftermarket fuel gauge to put on, would make me feel a lot more comfortable, instead of relying on the trip.

How much wider can I get the back tire, right now it is runnin a 140, so how big could I got without moddin anything?
Anyways here she is:

Pretty sure it's a no go on the fuel gauge.

You can go with a 150/70-17 on the rear. Don't think anything wider will "safely" fit on that rim. I've been running a 150 on mine since I got it 2 years ago. Only problem is that it seems to wear in the center faster. Probably because of the shape the tire takes on that narrow wheel. Don't think it gives any performance advantage over the stock 130 or a 140. You'll probably get better service out of a 130 than a wider tire IMO. If you want a wider tire, I've seen F1s with F2 rear wheels. Not sure if the swinger had to be changed as well, but the rim is 1 in wider and had a stock size of 160/60-17. Just my 2 cents.
