Today our Safety office sponsored a MSF "Share the road" Motorcycle awareness group ride. We met at our training range at 9AM and rode throughout the base with an MP escort, and then exited the base and joined a police escort and another group of riders for a massive ride through town. Afterwards we ended the ride at the Museum of aviation for a burgers and dogs cookout. Man, we had a GREAT time (even when the speeds didn't exceed 40 MPH.

The intent was to demonstrate to the community that there are a LOT of riders out there, so that the cagers will start being on the lookout for us. And that we did. The count is still not final, but we are estimating between 300-400 riders showed up to show their support. Base public affairs and the local papers were there taking pictures and video. here are the pics I took. ( Another buddy of mine took more pics, but I still need to get with her to copy her pictures, and to see if I can get my hands on a copy of the video taken by Public Affairs)

nice I wish I had more people to ride with and more time here in pr. They should do more activities like that. Props to warner Robbins AFB and the MSF chapter for it.

That's awesome!! I usually ride with 10-20 but that great to see all those bikes.....cruisers and crotch rockets bonding together!!

 

VP, There's 2 red 954s on base, but I knew of both of them before yours got stolen. I've also seen a gray one and a yellow one in town.

 

Yeah I figured... I saw at least 4 or 5 while I was there.
