We are rolling out early Friday morning and was interested in any route suggestions. I am not that familiar with the area, but do not want to interstate it all the way. I have a few ideas, but am open to alternative routes.

not very familiar with the route, but i have family that lives 45ish miles north of knoxville in jellico, and if you want to go out of ur way that far north you can go up rt 75 to 25w, which isnt too bad of a road in itself, and then take 25w where it splits off at lafallote to tn rt 90 towards middlesboro ky.. it is an awesome road and i enjoyed it almost as much as the dragon, mostly because there is a heck of a lot less traffic, the tn side winds up the side of a 'mountain' and then back down near the town of white oak.

awesome stretch of road for about 10 miles or so, then when i got on the kentucky side the road got kind of crappy and i turned around, but from what i heard if you keep going about half the way between the ky border and middlesboro there is an even better stretch, you can that stretch on the top right corner the map here that i'll post
