I started installing the F4i gauges on my F2 today. After I finished cutting the harness plugs from the F4i gauges, I noticed the tach needle is stuck between 1k and 2k RPM. I assume the needle should be at 0 if the bike is off... especially if the gauges aren't even hooked up.
Any suggestions as to what the trouble might be?
I went ahead and made some connections, and the needle is still stuck. I hooked up the tach wire from the F2 and turned the key... nothing but illumination...
HELP!

 

I have no idea what the problem is but the needle is at zero with key off... key on, the tach winds around to the end and comes back, everything else lights up and the pump primes.

I know this reply was useless.

 

OK, no worries. I had a loose ground wire at my R/R, and now everything works fine! I'm so relieved... I thought for a minute there that I had bought some fubar gauges!
