That's no good ...but with that amount of info about it , we have no hope of attempting a diagnosis ? ..
Could be a million things ...serious or not so serious ..
If it has stopped the bike from running ,it's prolly a bit more serious than not ..
Will she not start at all now ? were you riding her hard at any time before she started ticking or failed ?
Was the sound definitely metallic like a chain with a problem do you think ?
Electrical (as in a short ?) plug leads that short out will tick like crazzy and cause cylinders to not fire properly ...
or even a vacuum tube come adrift can cause a noise that could be considered a weird sorrta tick...?
a small sound file of the noise would help us ..

no she will not start..and i took the plugs out and wow gone lol and i was not on her to hard b4 the sound and the best wat to describe the sound is like a playing card in a fan ? and would a short cut me off just like that? i got the pipe and carbs off now should i put her back together and try new plugs i open to all options
does it crank..and not start? See if you have spark by by plugging in one of the plugs and resting it on the top of the engine so the metal on the outside of the plug is touching the engine, then crank it over. You should see the plug spark.

When was the last time you changed the plugs? if they didn't all go boom at the same time and its been a while since the last time you changed them (or if you've never changed them), they coulda been holding on by a prayer till they gave up the ghost
