Upper & lowers are matched set from line-boring for crank & transmission. Can’t mix & match.

yea, i thought about this way after the fact. have you ever tried though?

I’ve helped people try. Have to remeasure all journals for new bearings. Some times it worked Ok, other times it spun bearings. Depends upon how mismatched case halves are.

yea, i have a bore gage long enough. worth a shot i guess
