Hello, I have a 1996 CBR 600 F3 and every time I put on the biking gear, it cuts off. The kickstand light turns off when I pull it up, and it still cuts off, so I pulled off the clutch switch jumped the wires, and it started up in gear. So what do I need to do? I already replaced the clutch switch, and it still has the same problem, so I don’t know, and I believe the neutral switch is fine.

 

I would suspect the side stand switch - it has 3 wires, a yellow and purple that goes to the indicator light and a green and white one that goes to the interlock circuit. Check the green and white wire for continuity (measure with a meter, not a “continuity checker”).

After that, the diodes in the interlock may be suspect.
