Default 1999 Honda cbr600 f4 stretched 8 inches

Ok so my cbr 600 f4 has been stretched 8 inches and currently has a 16/48 sprocket set up. Well I want to go to a 16/43 set up but I don’t kno the length/link count of my current chain Do they make chains to fit my stretch or will I have to marry two chains together? Does anyone know what the link count should be for my chain? Again it’s been stretched 8 inches any help would be great. Thanks

Since you'd be going to a smaller sprocket in the rear, you won't need a longer chain, you'd need a shorter one. So you'll probably be looking at removing a few links from your existing chain.

As this has had the 8 inch stretch you'll be looking at joining two chains together then fitting the chain moving your wheel right the way forward as you would when fitting a brand new chain then weigh up how many links you need to take out and remove the excess.

Hadn't realised this was such an old thread.
