I honestly had no idea the chain was black. I had planned on eventually buying a blue or gold chain eventually when I had money to burn. The chain was mechanically sound, just covered in very hard to remove grease. Once I started cleaning, I realized it was black, perfect for my color scheme! (this pic was after I got done cleaning, and coated in wd40 to displace water and prevent rust, then wiped with a paper towel, hence the white specs). I will later properly lube it!
