I dont know if this is the right place to post so.......Any of you build your own enclosed hauler out of a Harbor Freight type open trailer? I've been tossing the idea around. The cheapest enclosed I've found new was $1500ish. But they're a little short height wise. And if they are taller, then they're kinda heavier than I want. Just thought I'd ask. How bout showing us your track day hauler anyway. I figure my Harbor Freight open trailer weighs 250 pounds, then I can add 6 sheets of plywood, give or take, then maybe that sheet of shower stall material to cover the outside from the weather and rigg up a back door. Make it at least 5.5 feet high, trim it out with that angle iron type aluminum for the edges. When its all said and done it shouldn't cost no more than a couple hundred bucks and not add very much weight. Whatcha all think. Yay or Nay?

 

I have seen this done w/ the HF trailer. However, instead of using plywood to completely enclose the trailer, I've seen 2x4 framing & covered w/ aluminum. That kept the weight lower. I have pics somewhere. I toyed w/ doing this w/ my own HF trailer at one point. I had the side-rails kit instead & never enclosed it. Later sold the HF & got a 5x8 w/ full size axle & wheels/tires.
