2020 where will you ride?
New year, new goals! Just wondering where you all plan to ride and what kind of goals you set for yourself each year.
I'll be coaching with the California Superbike School during some of their USA events and this year I'll also get a chance to teach with the Australia branch in the spring at both Sydney Motorsports Park and Phillip Island! Yay! Each year I have a goal of attending/riding a different track (at least one!). There is also a chance I'll get to ride in Taiwan as well, My riding goals are more of a physical one, I suffer from carpal tunnel and really tight muscles in my arms that make my hands, fingers and wrists go completely numb. Not good when riding all day so I'm working on strengthening my back and core and doing more yoga/chiro to see if that helps. What are your track plans and riding goals for 2020?! |
Leading motorcycle tours to the Himalayas in July and through South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho in October. Was meant to be doing Bhutan and Nepal in March but work got in the way! :icon_rant:

WHAAAAAAAT?!!!! So cool. Do you run your own tours or is this more of a personal ride with friends/family? I would LOVE to go to South Africa and ride! Did you know I did a riding trip in Nepal in October 2018?! AMAZING.

Oh, definitely the Indian Himalaya. I've done that trip 4 times and it is my absolute favourite part of the world. We ride on the (arguably) highest motorable road in the world, the Khardung La at 18,380 feet (5,600 metres). Also done the Andes (Chile, Bolivia, Peru), Morocco (twice), Turkey, Dalmation Coast (Slovenia, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Boznia-Hertzogovina), NZ, Vietnam (many times), Thailand etc.

Great pics! While I fantasize of that kind of adventure, I'm definitely a home-body.
Was hoping to get in 3 track days at Summit Point after doing my first last year. Of course, the virus panic has put the brakes on that for the foreseeable future so I'll just be hitting the back roads. I'm fortunate to have a lot choices re: twisties relatively close to me, so it never gets boring! |
