starting to do holeshots
So I finally started to do holeshots.
I start from a stoped position(for now) I begin by applyin front brake slip the clutch as I open throttle. Here is my problem. my front brake as i increase speed tends to lockup. When you start to move do you release front brake completly or keep on it? I also noticed that the tire doesn't reallly smoke alot? Need some help, thanks in advance. |
RE: starting to do holeshots
im sorry, i dont know how to do it exactly, but why do they call them holeshots? Holeshot is a term used for making it to the first corner or predetermined spot on a track after the start, so how would doing a burnout coincide with a holeshot?

RE: starting to do holeshots
i always start to do them rolling... you have to play with the break, to keep them rolling, you should let off the front break... keep the motorycycle moving, cuz i know i cant do a standing burnout with my lets off the ground... put your weight on the tank too... dont sit on the seat, or you will end up ripping the can off your rr

RE: starting to do holeshots
don't really knowhow to answer your question. I just know it because that'swhat people call it.
However you are right on what you said. I always thought a burnout is sitting still or starting from a stop position and a holeshot is when your rolling due to dumping the clutch and break the tire loose. By the way CRAZY that's one bad thing i was doin was I kept my ass on the seat cause I had a couple close calls. I need to start to push my weight to the front so that the back end becomes loose. How do you do them exactly or anybody else? |
RE: starting to do holeshots
im not professional, but i started to practise them when the roads were a little damp, rear tire spins easier but front wheel locks up easier

RE: starting to do holeshots
the front brake scrares the crap out me when it locks

RE: starting to do holeshots
[hr]if you wanna roll and its locking....ur obviously giving too much brake...
another thing to keep in mind if the front end starts getting loose, ur not givin enough gas....if the rear starts getting loose, ur givin too much gas. |
