riding up steps

thought this would be the best place to post this.

i dont wanna give you the long version of why i might want/need to do this but what are peoples thoughts on it? ive never riden a bike up steps but ive seen people do it on bicycles. it has to be easier on a motorcycle cause you dont have to pedal! am i going to eat it bad when i try this? it would be up wooden steps, pretty standard size, like steps in a house (note: this is not what i am attempting, haha). ive riden dirt bikes most of my life (20 years old) and ive been on my F2 for about 2-3 months.

any tips/recommendations/comments/concerns? i assume going up them at a fast pace would be the best way but i cant seem to find any information on this. thanks!

never done it...but thinking about it i'd recommed treating it like gettin over a curb if you've ever done that, take it somewhat easy until u get the front tire over the first step then give it some throttle to lift the suspension and weight from the front and drive ur back tire up the stairs.....i'd definately recommend practicing first on a curb, then a set of 2 stairs, then three and so on...good luck hope you don't f-anythin up haha

did it on a dirtbike once, when I used to keep them in my basement. road up the steps to get out the front door. its not very safe, I only did it cause pusing it up the steps was becoming a pain in my ass. have fun though

well more or less i wanna get it up on a porch behind a house, but theres like 15 feet of wooden steps to go up first. i thought it would be cool to be able to ride up the steps. it wont be for a few weeks at least as its at a buddies house when i go back to school. thanks for the tips, i'll look in to going over some curbs and small steps first.

better make sure those wood steps can hold the bikes nominal 375 pounds, Plus your weight, which if you were me would be around 150, thats around 525 pounds, I wouldnt be surprised if the steps collapse. not sure how well they are built, but just something to think about.
