Default BP help

I clutch the bike up in first and can hit the BP but IM having problems keeping it there. The front end becomes light I know its at BP whenI get that loose feeling going overBP and backandI slowly let off the throttle (not choppy) to try and hold it at that point where I can ride her out at a constant rpmbut no go she just wants to come back down. If I hold the throttle I run out of gear and hit the rev limiter. I have been practicing with the rear brake and if I barely touch it IM back down to the ground. Does any one have advice when to start applying the break and how much or amI doing it wrong altogether.

1st gear clutch start at 15mph or so set her down around mid 70. maybe 1/8 mile
2nd w/stock gear way to fast right now
sit down only (stand up aftercomfortable with sit down)
01 929

thanks

It sounds to me like your not at bp yet, and that your chasing. You do need to learn to use the rear brake though, just keep practicing with it till you get the confidence to bring it higher.

If you pull one up and you stay steady on the throttle and it falls, then pull another up just a bit higher. More then likely you are just under BP. It will also change in how stand/sit on the bike as well. The closer to front of the bike you are the farther you go back to hit BP. Also when you hit BP or what you think it is don't let off the throttle try tapping the rear brake a few times to stop the backward movement. Lots to learn, but just keep tring keep your gear on, cover the rear brake, and think before you do.

it sounds to me like you're starting to come into bp, but then you're hitting the rear brake AND letting off the throttle at the same time, thus causing you to come down. do one or the other.

Thamks for the advice. your all probably right what feels like BP is just the edge and I feel like it's in there. I will keep working at it and let you know how it's going.

Thanks for all the advice...
