Learn where balance point is.Stop chasing your wheelies. The back brake is your friend use it. Other than that practice practice practice

i figure once you get the control down of your sweet-spot, your BP and your rear brake - miles dont matter anymore.. you could take a road trip on one wheel if you wanted to - but it's going to be hard to explain that to your dealership about one wheel is balder than the other...muhaha

Well I just had 2 sweet 2 milers back to back about a week ago. I have been riding for about 4 years on the rocket and its taken me up to now from scratch to ride them that far...Although I havent been practicing wheelies all day long. Its more like a couple here a couple there. I dont use the rear brake though, all engine with throttle control.

My buddy said I was cruising between 65-70 most of the time but I was slowing it down rolling ever so slightly past the BP.

Huh? I only use throttle on the highway. Although after you are at the balance point you hardly use any gas but the engine braking will keep you from looping as long as you are easy on the throttle. I agree you are right though when you are going slower, Especially idle wheelies because that is pretty much all brake and no throttle.

+1 ^^^

at higher speed wheelies, u should rarely use the rear break, as it will heat up the fluid and won't be there to save ur *** when u're about too loop....so for fast wheelies, u should only use the rb for emergencies....."..OMR"
