Hand fatigue

Been riding bikes for a long time, but just I just switched over from cruisers to a sport bike and got a 929. My question is after riding about 250 miles today, my hands got really fatigued, and the right one even went to sleep. Is this normal, or is it just like anything else something I'll get conditioned to. Or is it the way I'm putting weight on my hands?

Adjusting your riding position will help... shifting your weight around while you ride (especially in stop-and-go traffic) will help as well.

Sportbikes tend to have much more aggressive riding positions than a cruiser, so more of your weight will be on your hands.

Some people put risers on their handlebars so that they're not so far forward and down. If you don't get used to the different weight distribution in a month or two, that's probably your best option.

+1 on riding position.

Check how straight your arms are when you're riding. The straighter they are, the tighter you are on the clipons. The tighter you are, the quicker you'll fatigue. And the more of the road shock will transfer up into your body, starting at your hands.

Lighten up on the grips, use more legs and back, and maybe invest in some gel palm gloves and gel grips.

Scoot your butt back in the seat a little. Believe it or not it will help take some of the weight off your hands. :)

Like Trout says Gel gloves and grips maybe bar risers if you are doing long touring
style runs maybe a ThrottleMeister

you'll be amazed what keeping a little bend in the elbows will do.

Use your legs to hold yourself up, not your wrists

Inner thigh strength!

The first time I rode a motorcycle was on a versys 650. And after I got I got done a lol while later my inner thighs hurt the whole rest of the day. Of course it's a sport touring so hardly any pressure was on my wrists. Would you say that woul be a more proper way of riding? I did notice I was using my back and legs bc how freakin sore I was!
