Photos of my 1991 CBR1000F "Street Figher - Cafe Racer??" :)
So a few fellow riders have come up to me and said "it's a combo between Street Fighter and Cafe Racer" so I guess some of you interested in the Street Fighter look may enjoy looking at these photos of my 1991 CBR1000F.
I've also had many people say to me that I should had kept bike original...however, when I purchased the bike it already had all the front fairing and dash assembly removed and various brackets that support fairings missing. I like the look of Cafe Racers and I figured I'd buy a reliable bike such as a CBR and mqke it look like a Cafe Racer. The idea of customizing an older model bike (say early 80's etc) was not very desirable as it takes a fair bit of $$$ to maintain them reliable and I would hate to break down in the middle of a country ride due to leaking carbies, or some other mechanical issue. I've owned a few Hondas in the past, inc. another CBR100F that never, ever missed a beat, so my decision to buy another one was due to experience with this model.
Hey, note that the rear of the bike will get a full cafe racer cowl assembly, that will be fully interchangeable with the current rear setup.
Let me know what you think of the images
