Adjustable rev limit for CBR600F3 1996
Does anyone make a rev limiting box for a Carbed CBR600
I want to be able to adjust the rev limit down for a new rider. Possibly even a 2 step that never steps up?
Looking to hold rpm in the 7000 to 8000 range.

I know MSD makes them for cars, or they did have one on my old mustang but it’s rather larger for a bike.
My sons race motocross and soon will be old enough to drive a street bike, but don’t need 150 mph capabilities.

Ah got you, have a search for bee * R, theyre not too bulky, theres cheap replicas and could quite easily fit it under the passenger seat and extend the wiring.
Other options are increasing the size of the throttle stop on the grip pulley so it cant fully open or even restrictor plates in the carb boots.
I was meant to be on a 33bhp restricted licence back in 2013 when i picked mine up, the intake restrictors got chucked though.
Think a diy throttle stop would be your least faffy option. It would stop them from simply unplugging the rev limiter or messing air/mix with an intake restriction.
Obviously dont know the situation but Really if that's the goal with the kids you might be better off either getting them to do their time on a drz400 / gs500 / sv650 etc like something fun but without a screaming top end or (and i say this jokingly because kids will be kids) giving them the benefit of the doubt to be responsible with 100bhp.
