Default 1990 CBR 1000f Hurricane Build

So I have posted this build on another thread because I didn't know there was a street fighter thread on this site.

Started with a 1990 CBR 1000F. I got the bike from my dad. He was the original owner and technically still is till I get the title changed

Lots of history with this bike as well as lots of miles. I estimate 100,000. Original engine.

Here you can see I stripped the bike and started painting the tank.

This is where I cleaned up the carbs, obviously needed it from sitting for 8ish years.

Here I strip and paint the frame. I didnt take it all the way down to bare metal. It didn't need that. But there was some rust that I cleaned up, sprayed with self-etching primer, sanded, sprayed with sandable primer, sanded, and then painted with flat black paint... I think it looks really good!

All the way up to this point I tore down and rebuilt the entire bike in my apartment dining room and 10x10 storage unit with no power and only natural light.

Moved into a house. Deleted all of the Cali Smog BS. Did a tail mach up and cut the frame. That was last night. Once I get my new tail section in (2007 R1) I will be able to start the tail build. I will be chopping the exhaust as well. Then all I need to do is build a dash. Hand my head light. Finish the wiring and then tune the carbs. Should be easy

Thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated. This is my first street bike and my first build BTW. So yes I will actually appreciate the info!

The full Build can be found here:

I think it will be safe to say I also have some parts left over if anyone is interested send me a PM of what you need and I will let you know what I have. If you cant see it in the pic's I took it off the bike and I am sure I still have it.

Thanks for looking

Yeah I cant wait to get it in the mail. I will send some pictures of the tail when I get it in and of course of the progress of the welding of the sub frame.

I really hope this turns out well.
