soo thoughts, comments? people to tell me im retarded and wasting my money lets hear it.

Conrice 02-02-2012 07:28 AM

$100 and you think people will tell you you're wasting money? no way man.

as far as headlights, i would go with the urban or the v-rod.... i don't really like the plain ole 7in. its too old fashioned for me. (and i have a v-rod headlight i may be deciding to get rid of)

have you thought about putting a new front end on it? it'd be a fairly simple conversion, and you wouldn't believe how much it'd transform the look of the bike?

the koso is badass. and after you ride with dirty bars for a while, you'll never want to go back! nice bike man... keep 'er up.

what kind of helmet is that in your pic?

Tec_ 02-02-2012 09:03 AM

oh god yes i would love to go black and gold with this bike and i think a set of ohlins would look amazing. Plus I just love the look of the upside-down shocks. I would also love to throw the single sided VFR swing arm on the bike too. But plans are to rebuild the motor next winter because she is 22 years old and burning oil past the valve guides.

And it’s a icon variant helmet with a black lens and black valiant

So If I wanted to swap the forks for something USD what would that involve? Would that be a new triple yoke and everything or is it as simple as finding some 37mm USD forks? Do they even exist? Im not sure they make any that small.

Damn nice bike for 100 bucks, Where in mn are ya? Im in st paul if you ever need a hand with the bike.

Tec_ 02-28-2012 09:04 AM

im in Minneapolis. the bike is currently in storage and im currently being forced to replace the clutch in my car to the bike is on the back burner right now but with the snow were suppose to be getting to day its not like I could be riding right now.

How the smurf do you buy a running bike for 100 dollars!!! Jealous!

crazie929 02-28-2012 01:35 PM

It's looking good . I'd stick with th handles u have now but its only cuz I'm not a fan of dirty bars. I'd go with th urban or 7in light. Maybe some projectors?

Zachy72 02-29-2012 02:42 AM

how much would you be willing to sell that piece that went above the stock headlight for?

that's the best part. it's so simple. you just replace the entire front end. and if yours is in good condition, people will pay good money for your functional forks.

all you have to do is find a front end that fits the neck and collar on the frame. steering stem needs to be the same length and then the bearings have to fit.

and you're done.
