Default AZ - Twistie Ride

Alright, so I admit that before I started riding in AZ, I never really payed attention to the roads. Where are some good places to go for twisties? I shot out to Canyon Lake which was cool--but didn't go early enough, so I got stuck behind some traffic doing about 10mph.

Any other spots out here in AZ that are less than straight?

US 60 out to Globe, and out past Globe on Salt River Canyon.

Usery Pass (Ellsworth)

Bush Highway toward Saguaro Lake

SR 87 toward Payson

SR89 toward Prescott (Yarnell Hill)

Highway 93 toward Kingman

my friends went out to Yarnell, Arizona a couple weeks ago. They said it was pretty hairy.

Yarnell is a fun hill, but it's a long booooooring ride until you get there. Especially once you get on 93, there is lots of traffic and no real places to pass. 89 is a nice highway, but it's pretty booring until you get to Yarnell hill. Then, you have to worry about DPS sitting up on the mountain and watching the bikes run the switchbacks. A few weeks ago, a group of us were running up the hill, came around a corner and there was a DPS officer standing by his car at the side of the road waving people over. After Yarnell, 89 also has some really great twistys and scenery all the way to Prescott.

I went out on the 60 to Prescott via Congress and Yarnell. The last 40 miles were fat daddy. We got low, bus. Had a nice lunch in Prescott and then back to Phoenix where I sweated my *** off the last hour back home.
