First car was a '77 T-Bird. What a piece.

 

my first car was an 1988 chevy beretta v6 2.8 multiport....bought it for 8 hundred down and 3 hundred over the next few weeks.....drove it a year and sold it for $1,500.

 

My first car was everything I didn't want:
White 1986 Escort 4MT that absolutely would not peel out but loved to hit things like trash barrels and various construction signs.

Later on I bought an 88 GT with a blown motor and swapped interiors and a few exterior parts and junked the GT.

Rallied the '86 for about a year before rear-ending someone....that car was clapped before I got ahold of it...but what a blast! The best $500 I ever spent!

 

I love how this went from being a thread about this guys slow car to a thread about what we owned when we were in highschool. This is great, keep it going.

 

My first vehicle was a 94 GMC sierra ext. cab z71.Man I miss that truck.I lifted it and put swampers on it. All of this onmy paychecks from McDonalds.What a life that was... the only bill I had to pay were insurance, gas, and beer for the weekends.

 

I MIGHT have you all beat. I drove a 1981 Chevy LUV truck with a 1.9 liter Izuzu diesel and a 5 speed in it. I lived two miles out of town and it took at least a mile and a half to get it up to 60. I'd fill up the tank once a month for 10 bucks. Course, that was when diesel was a third of what it is now.


I've stepped up since then:

 

1st car: 86 Trans Am. 430+ HP.
1st ticket: two months after turning 16. Reckless Driving: Doing 125 through a hospital zone marked as 25.

 

My first car was a Datsun 260Z. Seemed pretty fast to me. That is a funny video. I almost had another birthday by the time homeslice got up to speed.

 

AND HERE SHE IS!!!!!!! The car that does 0-60 in twenty-something seconds! (she doesn't look too bad though.)

And yes, I've had her since high school.

1979 Mustang 5.0, 302 2 bbl. I got lucky, I had saved $3,000 by then and my old man gave me the rest. The thing was an animal, would smoke one wheel in reverse.
