Who else...

Thinks this looks like FUN! :icon_drool:

They got some balls!

Hell yes that looks FUN! Josh Brooks was doing it the best - he did it big every lap through there (although I think in one of the races, he binned it).

I'll tell you what though, the first part of that track - it's so narrow it looks like the guys are racing on a sidewalk, or a bicycle path. And those boys are at the limit white line to white line with nice green grass on every side. No TC, 200hp...

BSB is an amazing series, probably the most entertaining series I watch. They're still playing it on Velocity.

That is just staggering to see fella's getting air under race conditions... Motorcycle race is some of the best racing to watch...

Kuroshio 02-05-2014 08:47 AM

The response I got on Facebook were accusations of insanity on my part :)

OWWWW 2:35 that`s a NASTY looking hi-side!

Nice footage though, real eye-candy. I`ve jumped once completely into the air with a street bike and that was with my `89 Honda NS125R from a paved slope in a parking lot, those guys are going sth like 200+km/h? and jump while banked! I`d never survive the landing...

Not sure about the no tc Conrice. Unless it's forbidden, I know one of the bike's is a s1k...

But I'm pretty sure if they did have tc it was turned off (or set via GPS to deactivate at that part of the track). Ecu doesn't know what to do under airborne conditions

There's no TC in BSB - it's against the rules.

Conrice 02-05-2014 10:32 PM

Here's the rules:

http://www.britishsuperbike.com/medi...tronics-02.pdf

I know it says '12, but the rules are 2012-2015:

No TC (of any kind)
No Launch Control
No Wheelie Control
No Auto Throttle Blip
No Anti-Jerk

But those motors are still modified beyond recognition. That's what makes it soooo badass (and it's also why the Honda is still so competitive)

Edit: And GPS is useless in BSB - they're not allowed to have different electronic settings corner-to-corner. They're allowed to adjust ignition timing and fuel mapping PER CYLINDER - and that's it.

It's old school - right wrist and left fingers for traction control.

Kuroshio 02-05-2014 11:53 PM

Lol learn something everyday. Like I said tho, TC is useless when airborne (and landing). Don't ask why I know :P
