Arrow ===>What type Video Cameras?????

Just looking at purchasing a video camera for riding and looking for some feedback. I have been looking at several different models including Gopro, Motocomm ridercam 30f and dsr-100, Vholdr contour hd, and others. I looked at some youtube vids. I wanted something i could place a mic inside my helmet but it looks like the dsr-100 is the only one with a wired mic. Any body have experience with any of these? Any recommendations? thanks guys

Either of those 2 are the best (I hurd that the contour sometimes freezes a bit resulting in loss of video) I put up the extra money and go with the go pro hd.

I like the Gopro hd because of all the mounting options. Makes it more useful for various outdoor activities.

These guys have it cheap, but they are out of stock:

Might be worth seeing when then expect it back in.

Just picked up a GoPro Hero for two reasons...

1) feedback from everyday users.
2) b/c they have them on sale at Costco right now for cheap. ;-)

Just recognize it for what it is & what its limitations are. It won't be HD or uber quality video but if you read the instructions & use as recommended, its capable.

Wondering where you found it for $245 shipped and did you get the Naked, motorsport, or helmet package?

I ziptied my huge canon A630 to the chin guard on my helmet. I was the coolest guy around.
Then I went with the flip HD and electrical tape method. It's cool in it's own way.

I really need to get a decent mount.
Screw it... it's payday. I'm buying some toys...

Hope the gopro works out well for you, man. Let us know how it goes.

I just saw the GoPro HD Motorsports Hero for $229 on another forum. Since they're not a site sponsor I probably should not list the details.

I was thinking about getting one of these mainly for having a recording of any incident that I might encounter and need to have documented proof for something later. I dunno - I wonder how much neck pain one of those causes when strapped to your helmet.
