Here's the link I got the pics from... it's a KHD T312 Tornado APU. APU, from my limited knowledge from flight crash rescue duties... are Auxiliary Power Units. This is what Helos use for a generator. The small jet turbine is started first, then the bleed air from it is used to start the main turbines that power a helo. Jet engines are mainly started by using compress air.

I do my homework... onboard ships, one of my jobs is the tin man. I get to sweat my ***** off in a proximity suit, wait for a helo to crash... then run into the burning ball of fire and drag the bodies, I mean pilots out. The bad thing about our training is that we are taught how to shut the helo down properly.... so if logic holds, I could follow the reverse order and do some damage in a SH-60. I'm joking.... don't worry.

Answered my own question: He probably lives near me. Way too rainy, cold, snowy to ride so his brain goes wild and will do anything to work on his ride, just to be close to it.
