WOW!! Now that is sweet. How much did you drop on that paint job? I keep forgetting how nice bikes look that haven't been neglected (by former owners!!!).

Hi,
I went to some of the sights that are linked on the postings, and I was wondering where can I purchase some type of the front fairings they show. I have an 88 hurricane 1000 that I am currently working on that I was just going to use the old fairings. But after cruising around this forum I want to do something more drastic.

man, this looking better and better.

Question - you have the rear of the tail section positioned much higher (sharper angle) that on a stock RR. Was that intentional or did you come up against some sort of positioning/placement issues?

did you make any modification to clip the seat into the latch at bottom of tank?

I got a million other q's but can't think of them all at the moment...don't suppose you care to write up a guide?? hehe

cheers....jas

i wanted a fairly drastic angle so after i mounted the top of the tail section i tilted it up until i got it where i wanted it. i did make my own seat mount but its pretty close to where the stock one would be at.

I must give you many props for doing such extensive mods. That some serious work. Congratulations, I think it looks very cool. How much weight do you think you gave up? 40lbs? 50+ lbs?

Nice work.

i'll get it weighed sometime at a elevator scale but i can tell you that the unsprung weight is a lot less for sure, i think the 1000f rear wheel probably weighed about the same as the whole vfr swingarm and wheel, it was certainly built like a tank back in the day. i just finished my exhaust yesterday so i will post some pictures of that too someday.
