Default Santa Cruz - Hwy 9 **NO 56k**

My buddy goes to UCSC, took a trip to see him last weekend. It's a 2 hour drive from Sacramento, not to bad at all... Hwy 17 is a little bit of fun also. Saturday he had practice, so I took off for the twistes, Hwy 9 is an almost perfect road! Heres pics (sorry they are a little big) they are off my phone.

It wasn't nearly 26 miles, maybe 10 at most. I know there are more roads around there that im sure are awesome to ride, but i was only able to hit 9:

Smooth:

Cool pics. I was out in Santa Cruz about 8 years ago. Really cool place. Is he pretty close to the pier and some sort of amusement part right on the beach? I also remember seeing lots of bums lol.

im pretty familar with those roads. hwy 9 is a blast, im only about 35-45 min ride from there. going up is the most fun... but coming down is a lot more nerve racking bcuz your coming down the hill making blind turns and you are going toward the outside of the lane right into on coming. how did you like the 3 massive hairpins going up that one hill?

I'm jealous. It's getting cold here in MA I hoping to go for a ride tomorrow; however, with a high of 45 I may rethink that in the A.M.
