Default Project #2!!!

So at 10:00 this morning I picked up another F3 for my girlfriend.

This one actuallylooksbetter than mine did when I got mine. $1100 (clean title too!) and a brand new Pilot Power rear and upper fairingto go with it... sweet! Heh, it's weird to feel a clutch that is in good shape. She's got a way to go, but she'll get there. She hasn't decided what to do with it, but she wants it black.

It's a regular red bull can... you buy them at a gas station and cut the bottom and tops off.

Don't cut the top and bottom!

Theone in the pic above was not done my me and looks like ****.

Here's how I didmine. I used tin snips to cut the very top off, where the top of the can starts to taper to the mouth opening. Make it a very nice, clean cut. Take off the canister clamp.

Then wrap heavy duty aluminum foil around the gas canister until the Red Bull can fits snugly around it. Hold the foil in place with a small piece of duct tape. Then goop the hell out of the inside of the RB can and slide it on.

Now it actually looks like a can on your bike and you don't need that ugly *** clamp on it. Here's mine...

I figure it looks better, plus I spend about $6 a day on two large Red Bulls... I need to knock that stuff off!

Good deal! I love the project bikes. Post pics of the progress. Good luck. She's gonna be bad *** with her new black paintjob (That's what I did. I use to have the Purple/Yellow scheme)!

The way you have it looks like ****. The first setup looks much better. If you were going to do it your way, you should of saved the top. Poke a hole in the bottom and drain the soda into a cup so the top is still sealed.

i think its a dumb idea in the first place and looks stupid either way you do it. I personally would rather have a nice clean fast bike rather than a soon to be nice bike with small stupid things on it like this. Just my 2 pennies.
