This is my backyard. Where it gets really tight in the turns is my sig too.

Highway 74, Palm Desert.

Hwy 455 to 51 near Sanger can be fun, if it's early Sunday, or just a low traffic day. Lots of sport bikes...few Harleys and cruisers.
No Goldwings...because the turns would mess up their lame cruise control.

(This is also one route out to Eagles Canyon Race Track)

Aerial view of Eagles Canyon Track attached...

For the twisty's on the cheap.

I have one "private" road, in a Federal State Park, that has no toll booth or known supervision.

Since it's Federal, that means no no to the popo..out of jurisdiction.

I'm usally one of maybe 10 people there in a 24 hour period, on a weekday, and on Sunday morning...just my little slice of
track quality 1.7 mile twists, sweeps, straights, hills and drops.

No cross traffic and at the top of the run, or the bottom, you can see the whole road. So you know when to be careful and when to not be.

That last one stays private...as I don't want a bunch of kids on stunt bikes screwing up the "track"...or any thumping fast and furious BS rap music.

Rrasco if you look at the map you will see one last turn at the end of the twisty part. That is vista pont and its a turn off that over looks the city.

Here is the whole pic:

They should be doing the final paving this week, since the weather is finally co-operating...hot, dry...LOVE IT!

I've ridden on it, and there is not quite the huge elevation changes as there is at Mugello, but when it gets done, it will be a good track.

They've changed a few of the 90 degree corners since this photo, under advice from Procar and bike riders, one an ex F1 driver.
In addition we have taken this opportunity to revise the track based on feedback from Members, Racers & our track designer Rob Wilson. We have changed the configuration of turns 1, 2 & 8. We are going to open the radius on each of these corners. Turns 1 & 2 will be safer as it will not require quite as much braking in addition to an increased opportunity to pass and race wheel to wheel. Turn 8’s radius will also be opened up allowing a much faster exit speed and enhanced top speed on our 2000 foot straight. All three corners will contribute to faster overall speeds and a faster rhythm to the track.
