I dont much care for the looks of the mirrors, bike looks so much cleaner without them. BUT..... They have saved my a$$.... I was almost the meat in a car sandwich last summer. The 2 cars in front of me stopped so the first could make a left, he had to wait on traffic to clear before turning. I was in a bad spot and was worried about someone coming up behind me and not getting stopped. Sure enough as I watched behind me in the mirror, here comes a car over the rise, I could even see the look of panic on his face as he was nailing the brakes. I gunned the bike and went up onto the yellow line, I couldnt use the other lane because of oncoming traffic. As I got beside the car that was in front of me, the approaching driver got stopped just inches away from the the other car. Had I still been there, I would have been squished.....lol
So even though I like the clean look...... I'm gonna keep mine. You ever thought about rear video display? I've seen a few bikes block off mirrors and use video instead....
But yeh.... you bike looks pretty sweet....... I think you have the same rear blinkers as me....

The bike looks sleeeeek man! Gorgeous! All you guys on here with the purdy new RR's make me so jealous!! Just giving me something to shoot for, I suppose...
Any luck getting the bar-end mirror on yet? I'm curious how effective they are... I hate the look of mirrors, but I definitely make use of them a lot..

""I am selling my 2006 Honda CBR600rr, I bought it January of 2008 used from Temple City Power Sports with ~4800 miles on it, it now has 13630 miles on it. I used it as a daily driver for about 5 months until I got my car. After getting my car, this became my weekend warrior and track day warrior. It has been low sided twice when I first got it, the only damage visible is the clutch cover that is cosmetic. I replaced the side fairings and repainted the bike flat black. This is a great bike for people that would like to track it or have it as a weekend warrior in the canyons. It can be used as a daily rider as well, but the suspension is stiff as it is set up for a 140-150 lbs rider (personal choice of stiff suspension, you can adjust it if you want). The title is clean, the subframe and frame are straight, the forks are straight, and no leaks of any kind. """"
I dont know if bikes that have been on the track are tooo used and abused and good for the streets!??!?!

^^^ WTF?!?!? lol
ANYWAYS!
Rod- i have the same worries myself about being rear ended, although every time i stop i always check back at the car behind me a couple times to make sure they dont a$$ rape me haha as for the rear video display... i would rather spend the dough on my exhaust lol put im going to mount a GPS in that area
Chick- no i still am not having any luck with the bar end mirror, from what i have heard they are just as effective as normal mirrors though. they are only like 10 bucks on ebay so its not like you will lose your a$$ in money if you dont like em haha
cbr6- thanks bro, i actually made the entire fender eliminator out of the stock fender parts, only thing i bought was the $15 ebay LED lights!

That is a really nice bike ... but I couldn't live without my mirrors, I mean obviously the proper check behind when you pull away and at other times is important but when you are riding to just generally know what is going on behind me too without turning my head back at speed is very reassuring ... I always know what is behind me, but if I want to pull out I always do a shoulder check too :-)
