That's unfortunate. You would think that the driver of the car would maybe get scared after the first guy passed him, and take a moment to look around before forgetting to signal. But, I guess this is another testament that we can't assume anything out there, and to stay out of the blind spot.

Nice double yellow line the biker decided to pass on, guess who's fault this will be, Not the person in the car! I bet this guy was a newer rider not paying attention to the surroundings. I have to take the car drivers side on this one.....

Yeah, gotta agree if your going to overtake where theres a turn you`ve gotta be cautious and super aware. Still feel for the guy though.

Ditto on the car driver was in the right. Although he should have looked for idiots doing just what this fella was doing (improper passing), he was still in the right and should not be faulted.

you guys must be from the west coast. we have these little amber color light that flash on the side of the vehicle that let people know we are slowing down to make a turn. I would have thought it was like that every where. You will even get a ticket if a cop catches you turning with out signaling. Yes, the bikes passed on a solid line and there was a sign letting them know there’s curve to the left ahead, but how is he suppose to know the van was turning? Both are in the wrong, but have none of you passed on a solid line when you were behind an idiot out for a Sunday drive?

That driver didnt need to signaled because of this left turn the biker will not win this in court. 1: DOUBLE LINES 2: See the left turn sign, no signal required 4: Biker should be paying more attention due to repeated accidents like this expect the unexpected. should I go on?

come on arkas and MgA_ODEN, where'd you take your driving test at. That's a sign letting you know there's a sharp left turn in the road ahead... not a road approaching from the left that a SUV may turn on to.
