As some of you know, i moved down here to alabama from kentucky for military reasons. My house is the only one in the neighborhood that has any trees, and i've got about 10 huge ones. They're all oak trees, so needless to say, with all of the acorns layin around, i've got a backyard full of yummy little four-legged tree rats climbin around all of the time.

So since i can't shoot em with any of my real weapons, i picked up a new Crossman pellet gun that shoots 1,000fps ( I sighted it in at forty yards ) I've been poppin the little boogers for a few months now, and once i get 8 or 10 in the freezer i cook 'em up. But they just keep comin back.

My boy Moose is a full-blooded lab, so he does his retriever duties well, and he get real excited when i break out the pellet gun. Not too long ago one bit him on the nose though, so he's kinda got a little agenda against them, and i'm tryin to break him of his new habit of squashing them before he brings them back.

Anyways, i've been wonderin how my newest pup, Kyla (half lab, half border-collie) would take to it. Guess i got my answer today after i popped one in the front yard.

Anyway, good job on training the dogs. Just make shure their rabbies shots are on time before they even get close to one of alvin or his chipmunk friends... you wouldnt want them to get sick.

 

I had one run at me while I was laying prone playing paintball. Caught it out of the corner of my eye and was like WTF I know nobody is over there. Look over and the little guy is coming at me full speed. Got within 10 feet and then cut and went up a tree.

 

thats disgusting.. squirrel tastes like ***.. even wrapped in bacon..

but i do like to hunt them..
