My 1st track day at knockhill racing circuit cbr600rr
 

film was taken from a drift hd 720 action cam,microphone sucks,so i edited it with some music,i started off in novice group and got moved up to intermediate/advanced after the 1st 15 minute session,was well happy about that : ) 1st time i ever scraped my foot pegs but not in this footage,also the track was in reverse direction,but made no difference as i have nothing to compare it with,being a 1st timer,deffo want a track bike now absolutely loved it! got to meet John McGuinness Nial McKenzie and Dennis Hobbs,all amazing characters,have to do it all over again in the near future though as some guy crashed pretty hard and needed to be airlifted to hospital,i have the footage of him lying next to the tire wall,not moving! was pretty scary seeing that though as most of the crashes on race tracks,the guys just get straight back up,see if anyone has any clue how it happened ?,because it looks like he crashed on a straight!

Nice video,but why didn't you remove your mirrors?

because i rode there and rode back.all i did was point them up in the air so they wouldn't distract me.

I thought any glass was a no no at track days (headlights, mirrors, signals, tail light, etc.) - but I have no idea in the UK. Looks like you had a lot of fun. It sucks to hear about that rider that was airlifted out - I hope he's okay too. Keep up with it, that looked like a really fun track - fast flow

Im not sure myself to be honest,i too thought that all glass had to be taped up etc,but nothing was mentioned to anyone,was an awesome day though,cant wait to do it all again next year in April,we get the full day refunded because of the incident,the last i heard about the guy he was in a coma and was just starting to move his fingers,i hope hes ok too,and thanks for watching : ) stay safe.
