What are your plans for the bike, you going to keep her standard, or is she destined to be a fighter project?

Looks like she's got a nice slip-on exhaust.

When I bought mine, I chose one with all the bits I would want myself. She's got a full stainless Remus slip-on exhaust, adjustable shorty levers, Ohlins suspension, braided brake lines, LED rear/stop light.

The parts alone are worth more than the bike!

When I first got her she was on her death bed. But I brought the beast back to life. I'm keeping her standard. I'm almost finished. Just waiting on the gas tank to be painted. Here are some more pics.

I've never seen that paint scheme before. That's gotta be one of the best color schemes of any 90's rocket - bar none

Super impressed, and more than a little jealous

Cool, and certainly different, but far from the best. The 1990 RC30, the 1991 CBR600F2 in Ross White, the 1993 VFR750 in pearl white...THOSE are the drool-worthy factory paint jobs.

Beauty is in the eye, and all that.

CBR900rz, nice project. But do go camera shopping.

Thanks everyone, I bought the fairings off of dh gate. They are Chinese made. All the holes mostly lined up except for the 1. One of the headlight mounting holes wouldn't line up. But other then that it wasn't that bad. And EchoWars I do defiantly need to invest in a camera. Lol
i will update more pics of the final outcome.

Love to see updates! Good on ya for deciding to get it back to mostly original. Too many cheap rebuilds sans fairings out there masquerading as 'street fighters'. Whoever came up with that term needs a boot to the ***.

I know my avatar is literally me sitting on a pearl white bike, so needless to say I feel ya on that. Solid colors are timeless

But 20 years ago, if my walkman-toting, plaid and bleached jeans self really wanted a bike that would instantly cause my parents to disown me, it's hard to beat this one for 90's hooligan spirit. It's like they looked at all the tri-color geometric paintjobs and were like 'nope, we can incorporate a few more colors into this one'

Super unique in my opinion

Mfgr's were seemingly trying to outdo each other with crazy graphics back in the early 90's (if there were a winner, it was probably Suzuki). This GSXR was simply ghastly.

It was the 90's - it probably seemed like a good idea at the time

...like ska music, or portable cd players

Make sure to post pics when she's done
