OMFG!

Even riding in Hanoi is safer than that.

It looks soooooooooooooooo narrow at that speed.

Cheers, SB

man that would hurt to miss a turn there. I got to watch it through motogp didn't know that it was hard to find.

speed2.com used to have it on their bike road racing series. It's a lot of the Irish Road Racing crowd that races there. It's in China. It's nice to have a race so late in the season you know?

And yeah, there's not a lot of run-off room, that's for sure.

Full race!

The armco barriers flashing past your helmet wouldn't exactly fill you with confidence.

Road racing takes nerves of steel as well as riding skills, balls of steel are a benefit as well :D

The Northwest 200 is one of the best races in the world.

Some time back in the late 80's I think, the promoters tried to get the factory GP riders to come out. The only star with the balls to do it was Kevin Schwantz....

That doesn't surprise me. The IOMTT used to be on the MotoGP callendar back in the day until '76. If you ask any current MotoGP star - all of them are happy they don't have to do it. Macau would be no different.

Yeah, exploring the limits of a bike and the limits of your skill on a track, you can limit the dangers.

While the road races have as much safety incorporated into them as is sensibly possible, it is inherently a much higher risk, branch of the sport. But is also much closer to what the average rider might encounter during a fast, early morning ride-out.

Hell, many of the casualties at the IOMTT are spectators, imagine that happening these days at a MoTo GP race!
