Default I want it!!!

Alright let's play a little game. If you could afford the new bike you wanted(brand new or new to you), which one would it be and why? Post pics/video of the exact model and mention which year it's from.

For me it's the 2011 CBR 600F. Why? It's not super expensive, has ABS, I like the looks and I'm looking for an 'updated' version of my beloved F4. I ride every day and all year so I need something practical (no hypersports for me). I don't own a car nor do I have a car license.

So, what is your choice?

(Added some pics. First is me sitting on the blue version at a motorcycle convention. Second and third pics were taken of the sexy black version at the dealership).

If money was no object, and I had plenty of garage space.

BMW R1200 GS Adventure

I took this bike on an 700 mile ride that included interstate, twisties, mud pits, gravel roads, and cross country treks that would have made a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon blush. This thing handled the entire thing like a pro and with a quick wash after I got back you couldn't even tell that it had been bouncing over boulders a day ago.

BMW HP2 Sport.

This bike is sex. Flat out. It's like the idea of overkill hooked up with an Olympic gymnast and their good friend carbon fiber joined in too. But, at over $25,000 It's completely out of reach, plus you'd probably need a team of BMW mechanics to maintain it.

All very nice bikes!

The Daytona is pretty sweet but I don't fit on it (6'3") but it's cool because you don't really see any around (well here that is).

BMW S1000RR. The smiley face man in my video is in love with that bike. He test rode it before he got his K7 Gixxer 1000 and said it was amazing! He's constantly talking about it (He got to test ride the top of the line version with all the fancy extras). I'll try it as soon as I see it.

Good ol' RR. If I didn't need a more practical bike I would be tempted by it.

GS, would love a bike of that kind some day. Must be amazing for touring! They are still quite pricey even second hand. They come in at 10K EUR here but they are probably much cheaper in the US. Did you rent it?

HP2 Sport; I like the S1000RR a bit more when talking about aesthetics but that boxer engine... wonder how it handles.

Nope, I got lucky. A friend purchased 2 used from a dealership with around 25k miles on em. One for his wife and one for himself. They came with a 30 day warranty, and his wife hadn't learned to ride yet. He wanted to put them through hell during the warranty period to make sure that if anything was going to break, it would break before the 30 days ran out. We made sure that they held up . I think he paid about 13,000 US for both of em.
