I do believe..... I might be addicted
So....first off, this thing..... is a freaking BLAST!! I'm pretty sure I fell in love with my (dirty) bike all over again yesterday
We usually ride dirt on the weekends, but my buddy Scott's KX-250 (who I always ride with) was about to snap a clutch cable, so he couldn't ride dirt, so we decided to pound some pavement instead (he's on the Yamaha FZ-1 in the front), along with a couple other buddies. Here in western NC where we live, it's heaven for street riding..... sooo many good roads. So we met up and hit some of our usual favorites..... Brown Mountain overlook here going up NC 181
After hitting a few more of the local favorites, stopped for a break at the top of NC 80 at the Blue Ridge Parkway
Then made our way up to Mount Mitchell State Park..... the summit is the highest point this side of the Mississippi
Stopped and grabbed some lunch at a different part of the park there
Then started to make our way back home
Then after everybody split off, had to snap a few glamour shots of the ol' girl with the new shoes. I just got the sumo setup done a few days ago..... I've still got a couple other things I'm wanting to do, so it's still a work in progress..... but I'm really happy with how it's turning out so far
Almost home.... had to stop for a milkshake, lol
Back home safe and sound, well after dark, lol. All in all, did 216 miles Sunday alone. Count Saturday as well when I rode up to my buddies college graduation (the one with the white WR-250), that was another 70 miles..... so left an almost 300 mile smoke trail for the weekend, hahah. Not too bad I'd say..... the KDX handled it like an absolute champ! Ran like a dream, didn't miss a beat. And sooooooo much fun! It's literally almost half the weight of my F4i and you can throw it into a corner with virtually no effort at all, practically falls over..... it's crazy
Checked my mileage along the way too...... not too bad for a 2 stroke, I don't think
Been enjoying it so much I had to ride it to work too for a couple days now
Needless to say, I do believe I'm gonna be going through a looooootttttt of this stuff, lol
Now all that being said..... she's not a street queen, still spends plenty of time in the dirt as well. My buddy Scott and I ride sometimes 6 days a week
Anyways.... sorry for so many pics, but I'm reeeaalllly loving this thing, and it's been awhile anyways..... had to post some pics, haha. The poor F4i has just been sitting around here lately..... I really do need to go and ride it some too

Check out Seat Concepts.
I used them on my DR-z. You use your seat pan, their foam and cover to widen your saddle. Huge difference on longer rides and really no difference off road. 200 mile days are a breeze when you don't have a padded 2x4 jammed up your crack.

Think I recognize that tread pattern... PP3:s? And a trailtech gauge if I'm not mistaken. Is that a vapor or vector? Got a vapor myself and been cursing it for not having an ODOmeter...
Said it before, really envy you for that scenery, hoping hard I can one day do the entire parkway ride end to end.

Thats awesome. Motard is the way to go on those roads. I hated not having a bike when I spent a week in Brevard and Highlands. I'm truly jealous of where you live. Its so damn beautiful, its not fair... And that's before you factor in the riding.
Great pics, thanks for sharing.

And yea the parkway is an absolutely beautiful ride! If you can do the whole thing, definitely do it. It's long and slow, but the views are incredible!
