Ive already ordered a rear subframe, and have a right clipon in the mail also. This friday, i plan on getting a set of forks and a rear wheel.

Other than that, from what i can tell, ill need:

Fairings (those can come last)
Rearset (right side)
Front End (lights and harness?)
Levers (thinking of just going with pazzos)
New Cluster?

Anything else you guys can point out? I didnt have full coverage, so i have to fix it out of pocket. I plan on getting the parts used or aftermarkert, and doing what i can with some buddies of mine, rather than take it to the shop and pay for labor, and have them order factory parts.

The left side of the bike is fine, and un touched. went down on the right side as you can see.

Let me know your opions please.

p.s.- i had on my gear, and walked away untouched.

Good luck with the rebuild and keep us posted.

I wish everyone would read and absorb the part about wearing your gear and walking away from that. I have a friend who insists that a t-shirt is appropriate riding gear. Ugh!

Can you share what you were wearing when that happened?

HJC CSP-10 Lid
A* MX-1 Jacket
A* SP-2 gloves
Levi 501 denim
Timberland 6" Wheat boot

I have tattoos, so i told myself no matter how hot it got, id always wear a leather jacket. i paid money for this arkwork, and i cant afford for it to be all rashed up.

Story- got the bike april 6th, called into work on the 7th to cover a shift for someone. i work at 24 hour fitness by the way, and am a fulltime student. i leave a lil early, and take the long way to work, so i can break the bike in a lil more. im on the 125South toll road, and twords the end, it merges from 3 lanes to 2 lanes. Car to the right of me, cut me off to let the other person merge, i got pushed into the shoulder, it being my 2nd day on the bike, freaked out, say the wall coming up ahead, most likely a victim of target fixaction, and instead of trying to get out of the shoulder and back onto the freeway, didnt want to hit the wall, locked up the rear brake, and laid her down. as you can see, the wheel took most of the impact, and was laid down on its right side. the left side doesnt have a scratch to her.

..so it wasn't your fault? cause if that's the case then wouldn't the guilty party(the car the cut you off) have to pay for the damages?... it's like hit and run?

i also dumped my bike just about 3 weeks ago...(gravel on the road, uphill tight left)... slid, hit the wall, then slid some more... i got full insurance so the bike is getting around $6000 (cdn) to replace all the parts that got damaged/scratched. just got minor road rash... 4 stiches on my knees.... got some pics but it might be too nasty for some peeps>

good luck on the bike!

without tearing it apart myself to see whats what

forks
upper and lower tripple trees
fairing main stay
headlight
subframe
exhaust slip on (good time to upgrade)
right rear set (good time to upgrade)
right engine case cover
all obvious plastics (good time to consider custom painting since you need to get plastics anyway, chances of you getting all the red you need are slim to nope)
rear rim

with that short list i would factor about 300.00 in misc bolts/brackets and such that are overlooked

If you go to any of the bike shops to get parts, let me know and I will meet up with you. I get a military discount. FBC gives 10%, ECC gives 15%, Alba gives 10%. Should save you some money, if anything stuff will essentially be tax free. Let me know.

Thank god you were wearing all that protection, or the story could have been really bad!

Can't wait to follow your build and see you back on the road!
